Googling for this topic has resulted in a lot of shareware or malware sites.

Anyone have a personal recommendation for a good, freeware, FLAC to MP3 converter for Windows or Linux?  Or a program that has that function in addition to other functions?

If you don't mind me asking, why are you wanting to convert from flac to mp3?  You do know that flac is better sound quality (lossless compression) right?

I thought foobar2000 was just a player and not a converter.  I could be wrong though...

Media Monkey can do this and allow you to select output directory and MP3 attributes.  I rip to FLAC for home use but my car in-dash player requires MP3.
