Ok...my Internet Explorer wont open. Just has the pop up that says it has a problem would you like to send error report.
I'm not sure if it's the latest version or not.
I can get online via Ares.
Any ideas on what to do?

download malwarebytes or superantispyware to your system. update them, and run a quick system scan, remove whats found.
i agree on trying opera or another browser

Well after trying alot of things we could never get IE to work.
So know we are using Firefox

I fixed an issue that was identical what you had.
It turned out to be some stupid Sonic RecordNow program had installed an add-on to IE that was incompatible and would cause IE to crash on startup everytime!
