Outlook is dead to me.  I'm tired of its suck-ness, and I'm moving on.

I have two .pst files, one 600mb and the other 1.3gb.

I'd like a program that can open, import, whatever, these files so I can continue adding mail to them (no I'm not interested in archiving or managing my mail, my mail gets dumped into two huge files and that is where it will stay, so the program needs to be robust enough to handle huge files).

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

ETA I don't use fluff.  No calendars, contacts, or any other crap.  Just mail.  That's all I'm looking for.  Something simple, with some folders and rules to funnel mail, but otherwise lightweight and minimal.  And I'm using smtp, not Exchange.

Have you tried Apple's Mail?

Thunderbird?

Also perhaps Evolution. There's a Windows version. They recommend importing to Thunderbird first and then importing from TBird to Evolution.

If you switch to TBird I hope the Outlook migration is better then the Eudora one. I thought it would be a breeze since the Eudora guys now work on TBird. BS. A lot of the messages didn't come over and the attachments aren't tied to the emails. I got headers but have to go back to Eudora to actually read old mail.

Pegasus Mail is another option.  Havent used it in a while, but it worked pretty well back in the day.

I always forget about Pegasus. I used to use that back in the early to mid 90s.

There's always Sylpheed! Beauty in simplicity.

I use Thunderbird personally.
