| Ok had my laptop checked out by the easy tech service at staples (closest pc service). they said that my power supply is fine- that is is either my mother board or or processor is fried. they aren't sure which. so what are my options? should i take it to someone else? i really miss my lappy... |

2 schools of thought here:
#1: Take Staples/Geek Squad advise with a grian of salt. It COULD be a quick fix, or they don't know WTF they are talking about, and wouldn't mind making a sale. #2: If it IS an old laptop, there are a ton of great deals out there now. Figure out repair cost vs new machine. |
