So my main HDD quit working on me the other day.  I borrowed my little brothers windows drive, moved enough stuff around on my other hdd's to install windows.  Luckily i could keep the bad hdd running long enough to copy all of my program folders over to one of the good ones.

I'm back up and running now, and i can launch all of my programs, but i have to actually go to the .exe and launch them.  They are all placed in c:/program files/whatever so they are in the right spot, but they don't show up on my start menu.  I've made a few shortcuts and stuck them there, i guess i'm just trying to figure out if there's another way of going about it.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get them to start/all programs besides re-installing all of the programs?

Thats what i was afraid of.  I just wanted to make sure there was no "easy" button.

If you can still read from the old HDD, you could use a program like Acronis True Image to create a disk image. Right now they offer a free trial version that would work for your one-time needs.
