I have a Linksys Wireless-G Cable Gateway.  It's a cable modem, and wireless router in one.  I also have Inernet access through TimeWarner Cable.  I've decided that I want to make it secure.  As of right now, anyone with a WiFi device can log on through my router.

Long story short, I can't get to the administrator page on the router. 192.168.0.1 is the right address, but I forgot what I changed the log in user name, and password to.  Now, I know I can reset the router to factory settings, and use the factory set user/passwords, but

If I do a hard reset on the router do I need to reconfigure the router with information from TimeWarner (will I no longer be able to get to the Internet without reinstalling some ISP info)?

I can't tell you "How" to do it but I have had this issure before.  (I am on Cox)  I called
the 800 number at Linksys and they stayed on the line and walked me thru it.
Give'em a call...

Most ISPs don't require you to set anything for the WAN connection. You'll need to set any information that's specific to your LAN, like MAC filtering, port forwarding, etc. But unless Cox is using PPoE, you shouldn't have any problem using the router's default WAN settings.

most companies don't require login info for routers.

the phone call seems to be your best option
