I've been "fixing" some long neglected upgrades on my desktop while I am waiting on my laptop to be repaired.  I was checking recommended updates and updating the BIOS was an available update, as well as some others I am adding.

Do I need to do all the updates from what my current BIOS is to the newest, or can I just do the newest and it will include the other changes?  There are three updates between mine and the latest.

Thanks in advance.

So long as it does not say Beta....

Read and follow instructions closely.   If it fails, you'll probably have a brick on your hands.

ONLY update the bios if it fixes a problem you are currently having with the system

if you do it incorrectly, as posted above.  you will disable your motherboard.   then you will have 2 in the shop

I downloaded both the updated BIOS to the hard drive as well as the current version to a floppy (as a back door) and the instructions for both to follow step by step.  Set up the floppy and set it aside, but the updated version installed without a hitch.  Thankfully it was easy and painless, and it did fix some USB recognition problems I was having so it was worth it.

Thanks for the replies.  I'm glad I didn't have to do each version.
