I am having trouble with my computer. I bought Office 2007 that I needed for an online class. Since I do not have good internet service at home I loaded Office 2007 at my desk top at work. I okayed doing this with my boss but his brother came along and took it off. After getting that resolved I reloaded it on my computer at work and everything has worked well for about a week.
Now I have some error Message about the security of my MS product that I have to wait to click out of and I have an asterisk in my start up that leads me to this website: link I want to get this fixed. |

Run the program, it's just microsofts online validation thing. If the program is legit then it will "just work." When you say bought it, you mean "bought it online at a reputable dealer" or "bought it in person at a reputable store" right? You don't mean "bought it at joe bobs discount software, box was missing" or "downloaded it from a torrent but don't want to admit it" or "bought it on ebay" right? |

if you bought the cd and key from a university. ANY time you reinstall it make sure you use the SAME cd and product key they gave you originally.
it shouldn't require you to activate it should just install and work. if it still gives you problems uninstall and reinstall it |

I bought the program at my college book store. When you mean just run the program what exactly do you mean? Do I need to go through the process of following the link and have my verification code handy? [I took the actual CD/package home] No. Just click it, download the file it prompts you about, and run it. |

Okay I downloaded the file requested but it is not asking me to send verification of the The Windows XP CD for this computer. This computer is pretty old [5+ years anyway] is that really necessary? I didn't have any problems with it until my boss' brother took the Office Standard 2007 that I loaded off and then I reloaded it.
