About 3 weeks ago I starting having an annoying issue with my web browser. First with Firefox and then with Google Chrome. Seems that after about an hour (or immediately upon the first startup of the day) clicking on a browser tab closes out the tab. I also cannot click on menu buttons, or any browser menu buttons. This finally started affecting my normal system, where it wouldn't allow me to select my user name on startup of XP to log in. So today, I backed up the files I needed, and reformatted the HD. Got the browsers reinstalled, and it worked fine. So for the next several hours I surf along thinking I had fixed the issue. Wrong. . . . . I am stumped. Any suggestions? OS is XP Pro x64, browsers are Firefox and Chrome. Mouse is a Logitech MX400. |
