I decided to try it today with one of my flash drives to see if I noticed a differance. It seemed to make a small differance in start up time. I left the drive in and went about my business. I noticed that the light on the drive is still blinking even though I am not doing anything with it.

I thought readyboost was just to start the computer, it seems like it is using the drive as a caches at all times.

What will happen if all of a sudden I quit using that flash drive, like if it breaks or I lose it or something?

I have more flash drives, I have 4gigs of ram in my computer and 2 4 gig flash drives and one 2 gig. I am using the 2 gig one for ready boost as something I read seemed to imply there was a limit as to how much drive the computer can use. Can I implement ready boost on other flash drives as well? Is this something that needs backing up?

Is there any noticable use to the thing in practice?

i like most vista stuff, but this just seems like a waste of time. RAM is incredibly cheap, just max out your PC with RAM and be finished.
