My neighbor just gave me a NIB "Net Gear WGR61r v6". But after following all the given instructions I have been unable to get it to work. I'm running Windows Vista and a Toshiba "PCX1100U" modem. The internet runs fine when the connection is modem-computer but when I've tried running modem-router-computer the connection fails. I've tried just about everthing even called Comcast to see if it was a problem on there end and they informed me that if it is not working then the modem and router just are not compatible. If this is true then fine, I'll just go out and buy another one. But I thought it would be a good idea to ask around here before spending money. N/M I just got off the phone with NetGear the router is fucked. Just going to have to buy another one. |
