I need some help with putting Megastat on a PC.
When I put the disk into the computer and click the link to install the the program it brings up a box to open, save, cancle, somethingelse. So when I save it it just saves the install program to the pc, when i go and open it it acts like it installs but does nothing. My wife installed hers at her work and when she clicked the link it opened a install box and not an open/save one. When I go into the MS Office folder and try to open it from there, it pops an error box that says "Lost VBA project......". What does that mean? Also the computer I'm trying to install it on is not connected to the Internet, would this make a difference?

Thanks in advance for the help

Not sure about that package, but sometimes when I install financial packages (and Statplus was this way too) I need to go to Tools-->AddIns to check the box for the installed software.

Many it seems, if not most, add in packages for excel wind up throwing some sort of VBA error.

You can check the install directory for the *.xla file too.  Usually the vendor wraps some crappy install "wizard" around a file that could just easily be pointed at from within the AddIn dialog box.

One package I have did puke on install, but I found the xla file under the usual "c:\program files\softwarename" directory and manually added it into Excel myself.
