Last week i started having the black screen come up on start up. The OS continues to state I have a floppy disk failure. I do not have one and uninstalled the one listed in the device manager. Vista had even downloaded a driver and stated that the drive was working fine....it still goes through the "f-1 or f-2" option on start up, even though I un-selected the drive in safe mode ("f-2" option). Also the desktop zoomed to gigantic proportions along with any IE window I tried to use. The IE problem stopped for some reason but I still cannot get the desktop to normal. I have windows security, Mc Afee, and ran spybot. I am supposed to be clean... I changed back to my stock Dell mouse/keyboard also. I tried the desktop adjustments also. The only clue I have is that I called home during the day the night I discovered this and had my mom (who was at my house watching kids) check my e-mail. She had some problems doing this. She's computer ignorant so an interview with her just causes anyerisms. I cannot find an answer anywhere.....help me hive. |

the floppy disk problem is not a "Vista" problem. that is a option in your bios, check your manual or call the person who built your computer on how to fix that. the enlarged screen happened to a friend of mines laptop, im going over to his house this week to figure out whats wrong. i've been running vista since it was release. i also beta tested it and never had that problem. |
