right now I have a linksys router with wireless. It has 4 wired ports. I would like to add more wired ports. I am thinking of getting a 8 port wired router. But i want to keep the wireless part also. Can I hook the wireless router to one of the 8 ports on the wired router? will it work? If yes are there any special setting I need to use? Thanks |
I've had issues with all the brands. I have a netgear FR114P that gives me weird problems - such as ports will quit working for weeks and then all of a sudden start working again. Honestly though, a switch or hub is pretty hard to screw up and even the cheap brands will do fine. |
For an accurate answer, what are you going to be doing with this network? Gaming? office environment? |
