I'm about to wipe my hard drive.  Is there a way to export my bookmarks to a text file or something so I don't loose them all?

ETA:  I'm using Firefox and my wife uses IE6.

yes,
go to C:\Documents and Settings\YourLoginNameHere\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ycb5ipll.default\bookmarks.html

ycb5ipll.default might be different on your machine.

Save it and copy it back to the same relative place on the new machine.

Yep, click on Bookmarks, go to Organize Bookmarks, then click on the File menu, then Export.  Fill out a file name, leave the file type as it is.

Copy the file to your backup solution. Do the same process except use 'Import' to import your shortcuts.
