Yeah, I'm going to take it all down probably this weekend or next and rearrange the cabling... try to get it in better order. Also need to pick up a nice USB hub to run all my USB stuff off of.

Well, the monitor was a dud! It would run for a few hours, then the LCD shut off. The power light would stay on. If I powered it off, then back on, the LCD would come on for a second or so, then go off. I reseated the cables Sunday, and it came back up... for a couple hours. Called Sunday night, got an exchange issued, and received the replacement monitor today. Only had about an hour at home to run it, but I'll be testing it out. It IS nice to have two monitors... I put all my little things on the secondary monitor while I'm doing things on the main monitor. We're planning on getting my dad 2 or three 17" flat panels for his birthday this year (early June) to replace his DECREPIT CRTs. One is not bad... the one I gave him! (dell/sony Trinitron), but one is so blurry, I worry about his vision using it! |

It was a refurb, and it makes sense to me, it ran fine for the better part of a day before it started blipping out. I'll attach a note to it, since it's going back to the company I work for, and selling it again will only result in ANOTHER return. The replacement came in this morning, and it's working fine so far. Bad thing is, they didn't put an airbill in the box with the bad monitor... gotta call again and have an airbill sent out to me. |
Yeah, a customer I talked to who was like a president of some submarine history club sent it to me right before the game came out. I got the game... and constantly got my ass handed to me. You can't win that damn game. You can't hide. I always got depth charged. I would go silent and drop to the bottom, but the damn British ships would just come directly to me and depth charge me. Oh well, I am diggin two monitors. |

I've been running a pair of 21" flat screen monitors for some time now. Big CRT Sonys, made for Sun Microsystems. I run one of them at 2048x1536, usually. It allows me to keep four windows open at the same time, each at 1024x768. The other is run at a lower resolution for the benefit of the others here who don't take well to such tiny print. Two monitors ROCKS! CJ |
