| The fan on my power supply recently quit blowing (it is still sucking though), and now the PSU is getting pretty hot. My CPU temp and case temp is now a little hotter than normal. Do you think it is harming my computer to keep running without PSU fan. I plan on getting a new one, but in the meantime, what are your thoughts? |

replace as soon as you can. worse case, the psu overheats and has electrical fire in the box.. which would short out everything and fry anything it provides power to. thats worse case. edit: even worse! it would burn your house down and kill your children with toxic smoke and give your wife 3rd degree burns all over her body when she tries in-vain to save the kiddies and set off all your ammo, your cars would exploded and all your dreams would wash away in the water of the fireman's hose! Thou probably what will happen, if anything, is the system would lose stability and randomly crash. |
