Can you guys please forward to me how to clean up junk off my computer again?  Its running slow and not working properly.

Here is links to the two spyware programs that I use.  Both of them together are pretty much the best spyware utilities around, and whatever one will not get, the other will.  Just make sure to use the update fucntion on each program, to get the latest definitions.

Ad-Aware SE

Spybot Search & Destroy

Hope that is what you were looking for.

It doesn't hurt.  I've found they each find stuff after the other has run.

Also clean your  and de frag your hard drive;  run "prefetch" and delete those files.

I've done thi.  My firefox isn't working right now either so I'm concerned that I have a problem.  I have McAffee and I run a virus scan daily.  I have Lavasoft spyware that I run almost daily.  Patty

What are the specs on your computer.  Maybe youre just low on memory since you have so many programs running.

He is talking about your RAM not your hard drive.  Are you running 98 or XP?  I am glad to assist, you have my numbers.  Call me.

It's also a good idea to run CCleaner.  That will remove a bunch of junk and help speed things up.

+3  I downloaded it yesterday and ran it.  It found 314MB of crap that Lavasoft hadn't.  My PC is running very nicely now.

Fire fox doesn't work at all.  I'll click to load it and my hourglass will run and run but it never loads.  I think I need to just delete it and reinstall it.  Patty
