Yep,

Go to the upper left corner of any window and left click. Look for "nView extensions" in the menu that drops down. Put your pointer over that and on the menu that pops out, uncheck "transparent."

Hope that helps.

Wow.

That's a pretty cool feature of the Nvidia card.  I didn't even know it could do that.

Tattoo,

Go into control panel, open the nView desktop manager and make sure that "Load nView extensions" is checked. Then check to see if you have that option after that.

There are some other windows customization proggies that do the same thing. Could you have loaded anything recently that would have caused it?

Other than that... I'm stuck.

i downloaded a new driver for my vid card from the nvidia web site and it gives me more choices noe but still no transparent setting... that might not be the problem. i also have dark streaks in the white ares on my screen.
i did down load a "free" program the other day to test out something and when i clicked on it my screen started to spin real fast the stoped and i didnt notice anything wrong for about 2 days. could that be the problem?
thanks
ray

edit to add if you look at my post in the "post your desktops" you might be able to see the streaks i cant tell if its in the pic or on my screen
