Looking for new computer. Kids are getting into gaming and my old computer is not up to the task.

This bundle from Costco caught my eye. To my untrained eye looks like a lot of computer for the money. Thoughts?

This appears to be the same tower, just minus the monitor

Looks ok from a performance hardware point of view.
I'm not sure I could build it for that price so I guess it's a buy but I'd feel better about it if I ordered the parts myself.

To get the max out of a new system like that you will want to use an uninstaller to clean off the crapware.
Once you throw the crapware overboard go to Win 10.

It'll be just dandy for gaming.  Those are actually really nice specs for an off the shelf box.

I agree with the first poster on the bloatware.  It's really not the end of the world and it's fairly easy to get rid of most of it with a little time and patience.  I have neither time nor patience anymore so if it were me I'd install Windows 10 on the SSD, nuking the existing partitions and install while I was at it.

ETA:  Someone is going to come along shortly and tell you that you can build an equal or better machine for significantly less.  That may or may not be true.  I'm not very knowledgeable about current hardware and component pricing.  If you would find that a cool project then go for it if you can realize some savings.

You have any recommended uninstallers or do you mean the control panel uninstall option?
