been pretty lucky in regards to not being hacked, spammed & slammed with virus;
however, when I upgrade my cell phone soon, [iphone 3g right now] I heard the new phones have a lot of stuff I don't want; auto amber alerts & other junk. I know it's almost impossible to keep da guberment out, but WTF? also looking at home security camera & sensor system, but don't know what 's tier one {for what I can afford}; any website or book that's not too technical or $$$ gear? thanks |

You can install a non factory OS on your phone that can free you from some of the crap installed

The site's Safe and Home Security forum is the place to go. Camera systems can get expensive. I find it amusing when I hear friends say they plan to buy a $300 kit and expect it to read license plates in their driveway.
Best defense is knowing the limitations of your equipment, and apply them where it benefits the most. |

from what I understand, on the iphone 5 the guberment can send you alerts when every THEY want to
and you can't turn off that app; yea, I know, turn off the phone, but then what's the use of having it? You can turn off the amber alert app, but not the guberment preaching app I don't need Obummer's shock troops telling me the same crap they're having the mainstream media beat into us daily. They did something like this just a few weeks ago during the Ukraine riots, told everyone within the zone of police control to go home via their cell phone text message. You go for it,,,,,
