My laptop on a fairly regular basis is crashing to a blue screen. I'm also having trouble with the main hard drive being almost full even though I only have Itunes loaded on it. one of Dell's programs is telling me that 60% of the 60 GBs is being used by Windows 7 and 30% is being used by Dell programs. This leaves me with less than 10 GB that quickly fills up after streaming Youtube and surfing the Internet.

I used Microsoft Security Essentials and Malware Bytes PRO. I also run C Cleaner on a regular basis to clear up space on my hard drive.

The error message I get after blue screen is;

You're going to need the actual blue screen info.  The only thing that message says is that you had a blue screen event.  The minidump file listed could be used for troubleshooting by a computer expert, but probably wouldn't be useful to post it here.

As for using up over half of your 60gb drive with the operating system- check to see if you have system restore active, and how much space is allocated to it.  That can suck up a lot of space if not set properly.

Thanks I'll check into the system restore. What kills me is that I bought this laptop because it said it had a 500GB HD. It actually has two HDs totaling 500 GB. With the smaller HD having the operating system installed on it.

It's quite difficult to get the blue screen info because as soon as I pick up a pen to write it down, the computer has restarted itself. I suppose I'll just have to be ready for it next time.
