I downloaded a program from Cnet last night and now have the Iminent search tab on my browser (Chrome).
I uninstalled Iminent using control panel, but the search tab is still there. I've googled how to get rid of it, but there are so many answers that I don't know who to believe. Malwarebyte's is missing it and so is MSE. HELP!!! |

Did you try this?
Click on a wrench icon (top right of the screen), select "Tools" and click on "Extensions". Locate "Iminent", select it and click on a trash can icon. To change your homepage from search.iminent.com to you preferred - click on the wrench icon, select "Settings". In "On startup" section click "set pages", hover your mouse over search.iminent.com and click the x symbol. Now you can add your preferred website as your homepage.

Iminent doesn't show up as an extension. |

uninstall chrome. delete the folder in program files then reinstall chrome ? I might just do that. Had a couple toolbars my mom got on her machine, after looking what it would take to get rid of them i just copied all her links and deleted the browser and reloaded. much easier. |
