Posted this in GD with no luck, need advice BAD.
Basically I am sharing some external hard drives on my home network via windows media player 12 to a pair of WD TV live media players. I have one key folder that will not show up, and I think I know why. When I changed the owner to the hard drive it put a "lock" on the folder icons. I went into the folder in question, highlighted all the subfolders and applied "share with homegroup". All the locks dissappeard, but it would not stream the media or show up on my media player. Now I noticed that inside all the subfolders the video files themselves have locks on them. My question is how do I remove all the locks and allow sharing of the files without opening hundreds of folders and doing it manually? Is there a better solution to make this folder share on the network? |
