You can add a profile to the computer (a new user), log out of the current user, log into the new user, fire up iTunes, and then attach normally. It might put your music on his computer, and you can certainly add new music. Your music is not sitting on some cloud somewhere, so you won't be able to just get something on your original computer. Note however, you cannot hook the same iPod up to two iTunes instances to exchange music, you are going to have to configure it to attach to the new profile, read the fine print on anything that pops up, it might want to "reset" or wipe it. Generally, it's not worth the trouble. The only case it would be is if you are away from your computer a long time, or your computer was destroyed somehow.
