I wonder if I should bother updating my iPad gen 1.

5.0 and 5.0.1 made mine jerky and slow. 5.1 seems to be a bit more responsive and smooth, but not like it used to be before the new OS.

Downloaded it a few days ago and it is running smooth!

I didn't have any problems with either of the previous versions.

My wife and I were both having problems with our 4S occasionally locking up or acting weird on 5.0; so far, 5.1 seems to have fixed that.  Seems a little more responsive, too.

I have to say that since upgrading to 5.1, my battery is lasting longer and its more responsive.

Interdasting.  Mine is much, much worse.

Tracking the culprit is difficult.

Wife was complaining of shorter battery life the first day or two after updating.  I haven't noticed any difference on mine.

I updated my iPhone this morning.  Everything seems to be working good still.

Mine still works. Only difference is the camera button on the lock screen. Battery life has not changed enough to be noticeable, if at all.

I have an iphone 4 as well. I would normally only get about a days worth of battery life and now I'm on day 2.5 and finally down to 9% with my normal use.

If everything it backed up in iTunes, and you have your other stuff backed up on iCloud, AND you feel like spending 5 minutes on your iPhone, do a restore. You'll start fresh and still have all your stuff. My iPhone 4 is noticeably more responsive. Give it a whirl.

I have better battery life, BUT, a couple days before the upgrade, i replaced the battery.  So, YMMV
