I have a Crucial 128GB SDD, from what I've read - some say yes/no.



Plus my Mobo BIOS doesn't give me a TRIM option either - 5 year old Dell XPS 720 with latest BIOS A06

No, defrag on SSD is bad and Windows 7 will automatically disable it.

TRIM isn't handled at the BIOS level, but rather driver/OS level. Windows 7 supports it.

thanks good advice, i tend to tinker with stuff and then mess it up down the road
