Put it on a Verizon iPhone 4 and a wifi iPad 1. Slooooow, and none of the internet apps work reliably any more. My Verizon android phone has no problems connecting to the same websites, so I know it isn't a carrier issue.

Anyone else using it? What cool features should I be seeing?

isn't it still beta?

yes, just released at WWDC for testing. That all of my internet apps no longer work tells me they should have baked it a little longer.

gotcha.  I thought it wasn't due out until the fall.

no, I'm philosophically opposed to paying a hundred bucks for the privilege of being allowed to develop for OSX, especially since I simply have no time to develop anything at the moment... :)  I'll probably just wait until they release it.

Beta OS that doesn't work 100%?

Shock...

I understand it isn't 100%, but internet connectivity on a device for which such feature is p0 seems to be a minor oversight.

the other p0 for the iPhone is as jewelry, which it certainly meets.

Ah, well. I'll put it on the drawer full of 3g and 3gs devices and see if it's better there.

I've got it running on an iPad (v1). It's running fine - a few (3rd party) apps don't work, and the mail client has closed a few times, but nothing too drastic. Speed is not noticeably different from iOS4.x it was running before...

I coworker installed iOS5 on his iPhone 3GS.  The new, Android-like notification bar is good.  However, iOS5 is killing his battery.

I'm going to wait until it's released before I put it in on VZW iPhone 4.

I tried to roll back to iOS 4 and bricked the iPhone. I took it to the genius bar, and they replaced the hardware. The guy said they'd seen a lot of it.

note to self: do not try to roll back from 5 to 4, even if xcode supports it.

I'm surprised xcode allows you to try - there's a big note on the iOS download page saying you can't do it!!

Is that recent? There was no such note when it was downloaded the first day of availability

I got it on the second day, and the note was there - they may have added it then?
