Ok I did a search on this and it apparently is a virus of some sort or some malware. I'm not good in computerfu :P So I have no clue if I have something on my pc or not. I'll give a quick rundown and you guys can tell me if i am screwed or not. I had gotton a message that AV8 was starting up and that it was doing a scan(bare in mind I clicked on nothing) it then begin doing scans of my computer. before it could finish or right as it got finished scanning I quickly hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to start windows task manager and quickly ended the program and got out of internet explorer.
I did a scan with Norton Security Suite. I had 7 cookies/spyware(I can't reacall what Norton Security suite has them listed as but it was low threats) Should I be worried? I have seen no pop up ads or any continuous annoying scans that i did not ask for. I have done 7 quick scans with Norton Security Suite and it has detected nothing after the initial issue I seen. Did I dodge a bullet? Is there a way to tell if I have something on my pc? |
| Ran a quick scan with it and Norton Security suite. Nothing turned up except a few tracking cookies Norton picked up. I did do a full scan with Norton nothing came up. I haven't bothered wih Malwarebytes yet. I'm going to get right on that as we speak. So far I've seen nothing so far to alarm me. |
