Last week I purchased a new laptop, an ASUS UL80 from Best Buy. Specifically, this one. I am using this computer for all kinds of different things: taking notes in class; surfing the web; making short movies; ripping and burning audio CDs; PowerPoint presentations; and anything else a typical person would use a computer for. I paid around $750 for the computer, but looking up reviews on it I'm getting mixed feelings about reliability and performance. I have already had two freezes that required me to push the power button to shutdown the computer to restart it. Computer geeks, do you think I got a good computer for my money and what I want to do with it? Also, one more question. I don't like the double tap feature of the touch pad that functions like a traditional left click on a mouse. Is there any way to disable the touch pad so it would function as nothing more than a mouse with no double tap or "right-click" feature? BTW, I am not very computer savvy so I hope these questions don't sound stupid lol. Thanks! |
