I was looking to get a helmet camera and found this one on Ebay. I don't know jack about cameras so I was wondering how high quality the video or pics would be with it. How much is a 4GB card cost?

Check this thread, and watch the video.  I use the exact same camera for my competition hatcam(at least until the HD hat cam comes in at the end of the month).



It's a good camera that holds up quite well, but the sound isn't great.  Being a water resisitant camera the sound is rather tinny.

Ok, it looks like a knock off of the Oregon Scientific one.  This one was used a lot for fire helmet cameras.  It was sold by firevideo.net with a bracket to attach.   From what I read the problem is that it wasn't designed for that job and didn't always take high heat well.  It wasn't great in low-light performance and the sound was seriously lacking.  That said, it can make usable, enjoyable videos.  There are a lot of them on Youtube.  Since then, firevideo.net designed their own camera to try and overcome some of these shortcomings.  That is the FCII on their webpage.  It is more expensive.  There are sample videos on the webpage.

So, I guess it comes down to which you value more, better quality or more money in your pocket
