I am looking to purchase some new photo editing software to go with my new Canon 30D. Could any of you give me personal reviews on the best that is out there for the price? I would like for the software to be able to convert to black and white, then add color back to selected areas.

Thanks
Ash

Adobe Photoshop is the end all be all for Photograph editing. If you don't think you will utilize the full capabilities of regular Photoshop and are looking for something cheaper then try Photoshop elements.

Don't know if it does what you want, but the price is right, free.

Google has Picasa.  Haven't tried it yet.

I also have Photoshop Elements, very good for the price.

You can do that in Elements 5,$25 OEM from Egay. And if you decide you'd rather have CS3,upgrade before 11/30/07. Check first and make sure this offers still good though.
