I found some old negatives and wondered if I scan them onto my computer, is there a way to 'develop' them on the PC?

A number of scanners provide the ability to scan negatives. Once scanned you'd use something like Photoshop to clean them up as needed.

I just downloaded photoshop trial and have no idea what to do to convert the negative scanned into a picture I can see. Any tips? I've been online looking at tutorials and everything I can get but nothing tells how to perform this conversion. HELP please!

When you scan it, the scanned image is already a picture you can see. The scanning software should take care of everything as far as turning the negative into a usable image.

Most photo software can do a negative conversion for you. Some probably make it easier to find than others.

Try a trial version of Thumbsplus from Cerious software. You can "negatize" an image with two clicks, in a menu.
