I think I would like to put a few of those digital picture frames in my showroom.  Seems like it would be a neat way to display a lot of photos in a smaller space.
I was originally going to use laptops and just run slideshows on them.  Are the new digtal picture frames available in a decent size, say 8.5x11 or so?  How is the quality of the display?  Any suggestions on specific brands or sources?  Or should I stick with my original laptop plan?

Thanks!

Most of the frames I see are less than 5x7 sized and run a couple hundred bucks.  I may not be looking at the right place either.

Another thing to consider would be a projector.  They aren't too terribly cheap, but you wouldn't really be limited by size.  Just a thought.

I was looking at that type of frame around Christmas as a gift...

My conclusion: Not worth it at this time. I looked mainly at the 4x6 or 5x7 range, and anything that was $100 or so got TERRIBLE reviews. Anything supposedly decent was a couple hundred, and I figured for that might as well go with a laptop.

Those are my findings, FWIW, YMMV, etc.

Maybe someone else with direct experience can give you more info.

check out photovu.com. It's a small shop.

they make 10", 17" and 19" digital frames

the price of their 10" diag one is about $210

I got my wife one for Xmas, but I'm thinking about getting a larger one to display my work at home
