Sorry to hear about your lose. Being someone thats in the Navy we visit nursing homes alot to speak to military vets and it's hard for the. I've enjoyed it because you get to hear all of the stories and such but man there are things those guys go through that they never want to bring up and some times talking to another military person really helps them to open up. They may seem like not wanting to talk about it but in the end they don't want to pass on without telling their story to some one, it's pretty rewarding to beable to see them and learn about what they went though. I can still recall this guy that was in his 80's that was on a mineship in WWII. He told me his story about how he had a mine in tow and stuck another mine off of Africa. Well a destroyer came in to get him out of the sea since he was the only one that lived and almost lost his arm. Once he got on THAT ship THAT ship struck a mine and he was in the water again, well finally another mine ship picked him up and he made it to a hospital ship in time.
Enough of that, How was B&H? It's always awesome to see peoples pictures of freedom tower, that thing is going up so quickly! |

I'm going to BH next week...I can't wait!! Its awesome, its like a Home Depot for camera equipment. It's totally worth it. if you are adventurous take the train to Penn station and walk to B&H, trust me it is MUCH cheaper, parking is retarded expensive around there. B&H is literally across the street from the Madison Square garden side of the station. I believe it is the SE side of the station, if all else fails just walk around the station and you cant miss it. I took the LIRR from Cold Spring Harbor to PENN station, when I was done walking to B&H and Time Square I went back to the station and took the subway, (B train IIRC) to the WTC. |

Don't they refund your parking if you spend $300 or something like that? But yeah, I'd just take the train and walk. |

I know they have a deal where they do refund you after you purchase a certain amount, but I don't recall what that amount it. Some places are charging upwards of 200 bucks to park, and street parking is kind of like Russian roulette. |

If your there and it's past 3pm expect to be stuck in CRAZY amounts of traffic. |

My friend who I am spending the weekend with lives not too far away and we plan on Walking there, so that won't be a problem for me. Stoked! Since I live in CT, ordering from them is awesome because I can order something in the morning and have it the next day without paying next day shipping costs. |
