It is about time they did something. This game has been floating around for 2-3 years and now they are getting into it. |

unless they have done a complete makeover I think I will have to pass. Each sequal so far has been just like the last and in great need of an overhaul True. I didn't care for the last one. I don't play Splinter Cell to walk around in broad daylight and solve puzzles on a computer. Chaos Theory FTMFW! |

This one is supposed to be a huge makeover, but I think they made even more changes to it that we don't know about yet. This one was originally supposed to be about Sam hiding from the Gov't in broad daylight and blending in with crowds and such at parks and being able to use any object as a weapon. Then they went back to the drawing board again and went silent for a few years, but it appears they're ready to reveal the newest changes at E3 next week. |

Double Agent on XBox and 360 were two completely different games.
Same general storyline, but different missions. Although the graphics were better on the 360, I thought the XBox version was the better game. I'm still willing to give Sam a chance. Fingers crossed. |
| Chaos Theory was definitely superior to Double Agent. Unfortunately I didn't discover the series until CT, and everytime I've tried to go back and play Pandora Tomorrow I just get bored. I'm looking forward to Conviction, but it looks like no goggles. Hopefully they kept the knife in game. |

yes the change from what was originally demo'd was far better. Plus Sam got a much needed hair cut. Yeah haven't seen much of this since 2 years. I'll need to check out the recent footage. I'm a big fan of the series, and I did think that Double Agent was an interesting change of direction. I can sort of see they are going in a direction more true to life of actual operators, running operations in the middle of chaos and crowds, hidden in plain sight. I agree that Sam is getting too old for this shit though. Maybe they'll do something like training and preforming operations with groups like the Contras in future installments. |

HA
This game is a fucking myth. They were suppose to originally release it the same day Army of Two was released, which was a hell of a long time ago. Then they pushed it back, then again, then again, then again, and NOW AGAIN. SC was my favorite series, i beat all of them, on both 360 and reg xbox, both co-op and alone. I was overly excited to see a new one, but I've lost all fucking hope for it. Plus, where is the god damn movie? They announced the movie when CHAOS THEORY WAS FIRST LET OUT! They totally reneged on that one. Fuckers. This is one game I won't be pre ordering, because only God knows when it will be released (if the day comes), because the makers sure as hell don't. Sam Fisher FTW. But Ubisoft needs to learn time managment, and stop fucking around. If I could, i'd line all the fuckers up that are working this game, and back hand each one. I don't care if alot of shit goes into a god damn game, STOP GIVING DATES, THEN CHANGING THEM OVER AND OVER AND OVER, STICK TO IT, OR FUCK OFF. Sorry, its rant day for me. Its rant day for me. P |

I would rather they take their time with it and release something thats quality rather than shitting out another "by the numbers" sequel. I'm okay with it being pushed by, what im not okay with is ubisoft making dates for it to come out and constantly changing them. june, then august, then nov, then april, now nov again.....should of just pushed it back a full year rather then screwing with us all. |
I don't get all the hatred for "Double Agent". I enjoyed it greatly.
The SC game I dislike the most is without a doubt "Pandora Tommorrow".
I like the original Xbox version of DA mainly for the ending cutscenes. If you've seen them, you know what I mean. I was really hoping the next game in the series would tie in to it's next events but I heard Ubisoft is going for a more neutral followup. Course I may be wrong. The 360 version of DA seemed to be the most realistic model so far. I figure real Sam Fisher's would have to do at least some day time work. I'm really looking forward to "SC:Conviction". Here's a link to the new E3 trailer BTW. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6tg7n6idTg EDIT: Here's a new gameplay demo too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gZcWdyJUZw |

I disliked the loading part of it. Always seemed to be looking at the loading screen and not playing, but did have fun with it when I was playing. Pandora Tomorrow was meh. Didn't care for it anyways. Looking forward to this game, I really been wanting to play some good SC lately. |

I just watched the E3 trailer. WTF is up with him shooting at the guy, barely missing but hitting the grenade behind him to detonate it? Who designed this game? John Woo?
Fortunately it's just a movie, not actual gameplay footage. If that business of marking your targets and hitting the execute command makes it into the game I doubt I'll use it unless I absolutely have to. I guess I didn't necessarily hate DA, it just wasn't CT. |

Double Agent was pretty good, but the excessive number of beat-the-clock segments pissed me off. That and the time-wasting "assemble the mine" claw machine game you had to do between each mission. The supertanker, cruise ship, and Kinshasa missions were great though, as you could take your time and admire the scenery.
I would like to see some Assassin's Creed-style public stealth in the next game now that Sam's off the reservation. |
I enjoyed it greatly.
