Farming Scarlet Monestary SM is a great instance to run when you need to earn a little cash. Realtively easy to do when you're 60, plenty of silver, green drops, silk and various vendor trash. The Library Time Spent: 1hr 15 min Money Earned: Approx 8g between silver and drops Here I am on the way to the instance. Empty bags and 119.  After running the Library, I had earned 4.3g in silver plus had several green drops. Arcanist Doan dropped the Hypnotic Blade. I tried to kill every mob in the instance on the way to Doan and then only killed what I needed to on the way out.  The Armory Time Spent: 1hr 20 min Money Earned: Approx 10g between silver and drops Running this with a paladin is relatively easy, just slow because of low damage. I had to judge justice to keep stuff from fleeing, which doesn't let me do my full damage output.  However, sometimes you forget to and stuff runs off and aggroes other groups. This is where paladins shine. Judgments/Seals of Light and Wisdom let me regen health and mana while meleing still fighting.  Here I am back at the entrance. Herod dropped Ravager (vendors for 1.8g). I earned another 4g in silver, about 5-6g in drops and trash. Didn't get many greens in the armory though.  The Cathedral Time Spent: About 35 minutes before I gave yo Money Earned: Approx 6g between silver and drops Ironically, the problem with the Cathedral is the damned paladins. These two constantly heal each other and regen mana and I can't do quite enough damage to kill them before they heal.  Here's the final tally just from silver and vendor trash (minus a 1.9g repair bill). 15g  I had another 5g in sold auctions from the run when I logged on this afternoon and have several more that will probably sell. I also have ten stacks of silk that I haven't done anything with yet. At current AH prices, that would easily be another 5g. Summary Total Time Spent: About 3hrs of actual play Estimated Money Earned: About 30g Gold/Hour with a paladin: 10g So as you can see, farming SM is a great way to earn some extra cash. It's less time-consuming than farming for most non-BOP mats, plus you can get some nice green BOE drops if you have an alt you are levelling. If you did this with a mage, you'd really clean house. |

I just go farm SM on the rogue, I can stealth it. I also go farm the trolls in Hinterlands a few silver each and get wildvine to drop that you can get a gold for. I can take on 2 or 3 at a time on the priest. |

I go farm in Ungoro Crater. There is an ok amount of Dreamfoil (~1g a piece on my server) and other herbs, I kill the devilsaurs because that skin goes for an ok amount, and I am perfecting my kiting on the 60/61 elite Stone Guardians (they drop Guardian Orbs and essence of earth). Also the walking flowers drop savage fronds, the fire elementals drop core of elements and other fire stuff. The fronds and core of elements are turn ins for Argent Dawn rep or sell pretty good on the AH. |

I was doing it, its not close so my AV has poped before I get there. Sometimes get a blue drop in AV off NPCs got something other day DE-ed that into 3 greater eternal essances sold them for 18 gold. |

Im saving up for my speeldamage dagger and a good offhand, only getting the dagger would be a downgrade at the moment. |

I've seen epics drop in AV several times. I was a second away from getting a Skullflame shield. Another guy beat me to the loot.  I put the GM sword on hold while trying to get some new gear for my rogue. He just hit sixty and is still wearing some greens. Already picked up the ring from Stormpike, and next may be a set of shoulders. Having two sixties to supply sucks.  ETA: Grats on getting the sword. |

The only advice I would give would be to avoid the pvp servers to start. It will be easier to get a feel for the game without worrying about being ganked. Also, do the quests as much as possible. I've seen a lot of ppl who say to skip the quests, and just kill stuff. To me the quests are the best way to learn the game, and build xp in the long run. |

It all depends on the market values on each server. I've found very different pricing on the same items from server to server. Fishing is a decent way to make gold on my main server. |

60 UD rogue full T1, some T2 and 2 pieces of T2.5, P. Blade and CHT 60 UD Warlock, Full T1, some T2, Staff of Shadow Flame I only login when 40 men Raid is available. Its way too time comsuming.. but pots are draining my G's to 500 from 1500 form not trying to make any money..(fire pot, shadow pot, natual pot, mongoose pot) Thinking of quitting a couple times, but then, staying 3 hrs in front of the computer vs $200 dollars worth of ammo in range..

Got some new boots for my paladin... Marshal's Lamellar Boots. 12375 Honor and 20 Arathi Basin tokens, pretty easy to get if you're not in a 40-man raiding guild. Respecced this morning to "Holydin", 40/0/11. Getting better healing and better holy damage. So far it's suiting me well. |

My cousin got a Beta key this weekend. I got to see some of the new starter area, his character hasnt been copied to the test realm yet. Atleast he only gets to enjoy it for a few days |

I ran into a horde warrior on my server named Multicam. I logged in a friend's account to ask him if he named himself after the camo and it turns out he did and is a member (though lurker) here! How freaking weird is that?!
Yeah I've gotten thoroughly burned out on PVP. I came up 300 honor short for my epic gloves last night. I'm going to get that tonight and relax. That'll get my my third piece of marshal armor (legs, shoulders, gloves). I already have my GM sword. Between all of that, I'm burned out. I wanted to get Don Julios ring and maybe the AB cloak, but I have no desire to put in the effort to get them. There are still a few tanking items I need before the expansion comes out so I'll work on those for a much needed change of pace. |
I keep it handy... for close encounters.
My game card ran out so I'll break out another one then, until then I'll save my time since I havent been playing much |

| I logged into BC beta this morning and did some quests with my paladin. Already replaced my nice blue shield with a green quest item, got a better 2H axe and some better green shoulders. The new gear is pretty nice and you're going to be replacing a lot over the next few levels. |

Good to know so I won't waste money on stuff for my current 60s. I'll probably end up taking a break until the 16th or thereabouts, spending the time figuring a way to run network cabling to my living room so I can use the hdtv for a monitor and game from the couch. I know I'll lose some resolution, but damnit, if I'm planting myself in front of WoW for hours because of BC, I might as well be comfortable

Just started this game a day or two ago. LvL 8 Human Paladin (not real creative) Thinking about dumping him and doing a Night Elf but don't know what trait Rouge or Druid Any hints tips or ideas you wanna throw out would kick ass.....Was playing Guild wars and liked it ALOT having a hard time getting into WoW however. |

3rd Character, 57 Human Paladin on Ursin. Can't wait to hit 58 to get into the outlands, hopefully find a few upgrades from quest rewards and grind to 60 and start doing ramparts, I see some awesome Pali drops there. We did a scholo run last night, it was pretty fun, 54 healer, and a 61 Pali main tank. 4 man as well. I've never ran it before, we made it to the 6 tiered boss room. Oh retribution spec, liking the damage but I have the situational awareness to fall into support roles as well. |

Alliance Shamans, level quickly and are fun to play. i am at level 14 playing only a hour a night since sat. so in about 3 hours time. not that bad in my mind. so far its the char i have had the most fun with. i solo well, and for us star wars fans were else can you do a quest called the Kessle run in a game. So far I've been happy with BC and all it has to offer. Lots of xp to be made, and lots of great gear dropping already. Some of the lvl 70 faction gear is incredable. Lots of ppl playing and lots of lag, but no real server problems. |
