Slurm Cola mentioned in another thread that he would like to see people post pics of their machines more often here, so I thought I would start a thread for everyone to do so if they llike.

I will start with my machines -

LAN Party machine

This machine is one I made for mainly taking to LAN parties.  My main machine is water-cooled, and I dont particularly like moving that bastard.  So I built this, some parts new, some parts leftover.

Specs:

Asus A8n-sli premium motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego Core, overclocked to 2.82 Ghz
2gb Mushkin PC4000, 235 Mhz FSB
1 eVGA 7800GTX
Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
1 WD Raptor 36GB 10,000 RPM hard drive
2x 250gb Seagate Hard Drives
1 Plextor DVD burner
1 Asus DVD Burner
Thermaltake 500w SLI capable power supply
Thermalright XP-120 heatsink, with 120mm Panaflo fan.
Windows XP Pro/Kubuntu 5.10

Media Server

This machine stays in my basement and I keep all of my downloaded television, movies, music, or whatever on this machine, rather than filling up the drives on either of my gaming machines.

Specs:

Gigabyte GA-G1975 X motherboard (normally I hate that brand, but a friend won it at some contest, and sold it to me for $40).
Intel 920 Processor (Pentium D), 2.8 Ghz
2gb Patriot PC26400 RAM
ATI X1900XTX
1 WD Raptor 74gb drive
8 Seagate Barricuda 500gb drives
1 Plextor DVD burner
onboard sound
Antec 500w PSU

Main gaming machine

I did at one time have SLI 7900GTX cards in this thing, but I reverted back to the 7800GTX cards, because a friend coming back from Iraq could not find two of them, and I have them to him at a huge discount.  Also, I never could find any buyers for the 7800GTX cards that are in there now.  These are old pics that I have posted before, but the hardware is pretty much the same (though I am eyeballing an FX-60 to throw in there )

Specs:

Asus A8N SLI-Deluxe
AMD Athlon64 FX-57, overclocked to 3.2 Ghz
4gb of Corsair Value Select
2 eVGA 7800GTX cards, holding out for DX10 now.
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS sound card
1x 74gb WD Raptor
2x WD 250gb drives
2x plextor DVD burners
Viewsonic VX-922 monitor
PC Power & Cooling power supply, modded (510w)
Logitech Z-5500 speakers
Keyboard and mouse are different now, than whats in the pic - Logitech G15 and Razer Copperhead.

I only have one other machine, and that is my Apple Macbook pro, which my girlfriend borrowed, so no pics until she gives it back.

Looking forward to seeing everyone elses machines.

Damn, mine is just a simple case and stuff.  Nothing fancy, AMD 3200 64 with gig of ram

9800 Pro 256meg card.  About 200 gig of harddrive.

I used to upgrade more but I got out of it since it works, I'll upgrade maybe next year.  If its not struggling it dont bother me, when it does I'll upgrade it.

DVD burner is trying to die and needs to be replaced but Im waiting for it to go

JEEBUS Adair.....I felt like I was looking inside the hull of a Borg ship...nice stuff man!  Do you build these machines yourself?  Nice watercooled system on that last one btw.

I'll post my pics in the next day or two.....I've gotta clean the ol' gal up and dust off the hampster wheel

I was considering looking into a water cooling system.  They have come along way since the beginning.  How much would a decent one run me?  I have 2 computers inside a cabinet.  It gets so hot in there in the summer I could bake a loaf of bread.

These pics are really depressing since they make me realise how non-significant my computer is
BTW, is there any reason to light up the interior? Or is it one those things that are done just because they can be?
5/30/2006 4:45:33 PM EDT
[#7]
there is really no reason to light up the inside other than coolness factor, my pc is in my bedroom and i leave it on all the time and it kept me awake so i removed the lights since i took those pics.

ETA: i was running dual black cold cathodes and they run HOT and it was fucking up my overclock so that helped my decisiion to remove.

Yep, pretty much.  I like to run UV stuff myself, plus since most of the cases I use have windows, makes it look cool on the insides.

Here is a case that I did way back.  It had pneumatics in it to raise and lower it on my desk to allow for better ventilation.  I spent way more money on this than I care to admit but it was all done by me.  There are also a couple videos of it here.

This is my main computer. Not the newest one I have, but best one setup for gaming. Sorry the picture is so bad, old 1.3mp camara. And a pain to pull out and plug back in.

Athlon XP 3200 (yes the 32bit version)
2GB of Ram PC 3200
AGP Geforce 6800 GT O/C to 404 (stock 350) Core and Memory to 1.14 (stock 1)
X-Fi Music Card
120gb Hard drive
200gb Hard drive
DVD Buner
Aspire 520W power supply.

Lan Party (its at work right now so using stock pic)

Athlon XP 3000
1GB of Ram PC 3200
AGP Geforce 6800 GT running at stock speeds (was in aother system till the motherboard failed so thought what the hell)
Built in 5.1 Sound card
120gb Seagate 7200 IDE
Sony CD buner (need to get a DVD drive for it)
Runs HL2 at full, havn't installed BF2 on it yet.
220W power supply Don't ask me how it is running the 6800, but it does. Only problem I have had is over heating, so run with case open if I am gaming.

Soon to be Lanparty system once I get a better video card. (at work also so stock picture)

Athlon 64 3000 (939)
1GB of Ram PC 3200

This was mine before I installed a high end water cooling loop. I haven't taken any pictures since then. I will have to take some soon. It's a Coolermaster Stacker case. It's an awesome case, but it's freaking heavy as hell and a beast. I have wheels/casters on it now and it makes moving it around a breeze now.

Thanks. I got some crap from somebody on another message board for it being in the picture. I asked them if they were afraid of an inanimate object in a picture.

It looks a bit more high tech now with the water cooling loop installed. I'm thinking about painting the interior of the case black or charcoal as well.

Some more liquid cooling.

This oc'ed XP2800+ fucking screamed. 2.5GHz rock solid stable. Those Barton cores were sweet!

Stock speed A643400+ Newcastle, with piss poor wire management. Sucker worked good until I killed it with condensation from a -20C phase change chiller.

Many more w/c pics where those came from if 'yall are interested.

Edit: Those CM stacker cases pwn. Unmatched versatility.

It worked pretty damn well actually. It's up there with the best air coolers for CPUs though it may be a degree or two behind some. I had it hooked up directly to the motherboard without the Fanmate thingie so the motherboard throttled its speed and could crank it up to max if need be. The fanmate can't push the fan to max RPM. There's actually a 120mm fan version coming out soon. The fan on the 9500 is a 92mm fan.
