The Heablur cold war server tends to be one of the better ones (Formerly Enigmas Cold war). Blueflag in general has a better maturity level as well (make sure to read their rules as well and abide by them). And they have multiple eras there. Just up to you what style of gameplay you are into. |

Meanwhile everyone just buys IL2 which is like 30-40bucks comes with a ton of planes/maps etc. DCS pacific, well at least the map is free, but the asset pack is a must buy and then you will have like the hellcat vs AI... Maybe someday the corsair as well... But its really limited so it will likely flop. Basically no one in the community is even vaguely excited about it. And it came about from ED's insane knee-jerk need to "compete" with sims that don't even exist (combat pilot in this case). My bet is that every one just buys IL-2 korea which will offer way better gameplay for the dollar. |

This new Afghanistan map is tits. Just a work of art. I hope Iraq gets the same treatment soon. Harli, do you fly the Blue Flag 80s server? I'm on there a lot. Usually on red team but I fly both sides. As for WW2 I'm a regular on the 4YA Project Overlord server. I have a lot of friends on both servers. |

I pop in on 80's here and there when it has a bit of pop, but as you know its a Euro-centric server. If I fly these days its more on ECW/HBCW or shadowreapers or contention if I'm feelin froggy. Or for the past 3 months I've just been doing MSFS2024. I wish DCS could look like that. |

Still sadly some broken/missing stuff. Coop modes really need to get added/reworked SPO-15 should actually work with the radar on, IDK how ED managed to get that wrong but they did. Radar/modes seems "borrowed" from their other modules, which was predictable. And aside from the no IFF in MP for the first week (fixed now) its shaping up to be an ok module. On the upside, they did do a good job with the KOLS/Schlem, the FM is good, and it goes hard in BFM as it should. I just wish there were some good period 80's cold war servers that still existed for MP... Maybe the GOAT will make a comeback. |

| I flew the new Tomcat tonight after i troubleshot my vr headset for a while. ill be honest its been a bit since i flew in vr and apparently upgrading to windows 11 bricked my headset. once i got the oasis drivers working though i flew it a bit. the hud is just everything the tomcat needed. i know the jdams and stuff is a bigger capability increase, but from my butt in the seat the HUD is what made me not fly the tomcat in the past as much. |
