Yeah I did the stupid thing and hit backward on the character creation screen, now I cannot get into the server

As of 6 minutes ago Blizzard finally released a statement, bs Blizz, no one is playing the game, no one.
"Welcome to Diablo III! The fight for Sanctuary has begun. Please note that due to a high volume of traffic, login and character creation may be slower than normal. If you're unable to login to the game or create characters, please wait and try again. We've temporarily taken our Battle.net websites offline and launched more servers to accomodate for the traffic. We hope to resolve these issues as soon as possible and appreciate your patience." |

I'm having lots of fun so far. Having a lunch break at the moment. I think it goes without saying, but for the next week or two, please remember to make sure to add spoiler tags to your posts if they contain spoilers. I got in about 4am as well, could log in sporadically before then, but couldn't make a character.
I got to lvl13 before I had to shower to go to work. Work will suck today. Jatobi, guess passes limit you to the same section as the beta, level 13 and the 1st boss the Skeleton King. |

It has completely blown trying to get in. I couldn't get in last night (stopped around 3:45) then I realized I installed diablo on the wrong hdd. I installed it on my boot drive with only 14gb left and took me down near 6gb left. So I uninstalled it last night then installed to proper hdd. Well game is still trying to install still have about 25% left.

I installed last night, and played for about 5 minutes this morning before work just to say I played on launch day. There is just no way to really deal with the launch issues on this scale, so you'll likely see outages for awhile. If things are somewhat stable I might play tonight, but I plan on giving it a good couple of days before I really dive into it.
Was torn between barbarian and wizard....went with wizard. Didn't play beta, I want to jump in and find it all out as I go. |

KInda glad I fell asleep waiting for launch (I'm CDT).
Woke up at 0730CDT and logged on and played without a hitch. Got to levl 16, felt like I needed to eat something and when I got back there were noticed of servers down. Great story, so far. And this requirement to be online to play really blows. See what happens Blizzard? See what happens when you require a live online connection to play? Can't even play singleplayer while you're trying to unfuck the servers. |

Rofl! I got almost to lvl 11, logged out to take a shower, and now can't get back in. Fun game so far. |

I woke up an hour early to get some time in before work. I'm chomping at the bit to get home and play a few more hours tonight. As expected, the game shows the high level of polish we've come to expect from Blizzard (and eight years of development). |
