I've been trying for the past few years. Every time I go to my parents house I try to play the XBOX to see if I've gotten any better at it. Nope.
I tried to introduce my cousin to gaming on the PC and the benefits of mouse and keyboard style play. He tried it and asked if his XBOX controller would work on the computer. |

I'm a long-time PC gamer and console gamer and you just have to get used to it. Even when you have the hang of it you will never be able to move and aim as quickly and accurately as with a mouse. It's just the nature of the input method. Some folks say there's little or no difference once you get good, but they just suck with mice... there's a BIG difference. There's a reason the consoles won't let you hook up a USB mouse and play with that, and the results are damning the few times it has been allowed (like UT3 on the PS3). The mousers dance circles around the controller players and demolish them. Just gotta get used to it. |
