Just out of curiosity, does anyone here still play Counter-Strike or Counter-Strike:Source?

Every so often.  I find myself playing L4D, TF2, and Portal more.  (I prefer L4D over L4D2, which I also have...)

If I feel like punishing myself, I'll hop on and play some CS:S

Agreed. I used to play CS non-stop all through college but eventually got out of it. I tried going back to it again a few months ago and was just utterly destroyed. It's one of those games that you have to keep up with constantly or you might as well not bother (unless you enjoy seeing how many times you can die/lose).

Deathmatch only. Otherwise its boring now. Or Zombie mod, and only certain zombie servers, where you can baricade and where everyone starts off as human. Game just got super lame after countless days of playing (im serious, I had 1000s of hours logged into it....). After getting banned for 'hacking' (as most good players will know, if you make a few HSs in a row, you obviously hack ) I got sick of it. If another CS is made, it better have fully customizable weapons, and have endless challenges.

Pretty much the only stuff I play anymore on the PC is Day of Defeat zombie servers and Americas Army 2 coop (bots).  I just can't hang with CS or CS:S anymore.  I took a two year break and I am just terrible now.  Prolly cuz im getting old lol.  Nah, but I think most of the people left playing either CS games are effin beasts.

I haven't played CS in about 9 years, since my favorite server the-space.net was shutdown due to an earthquake.

That, and all the spiky-model hacks people were using.

Sometimes I play the single-player Condition Zero, or whatever its called.
