Is anyone else having this problem?  I can play my games, but when I try to sign into playstation network, I get this error code.  I have a feeling it is a problem on paystations end, not my own.  if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

I experienced this for the first time a couple weeks ago.

Something to do with PSN being down.  I went to gamefaqs.com and went into the PS3/MW2 boards and everyone was reporting the same thing.

PlayStation Network down, network error codes, trophy error, Sony PS 3 support guide – PlayStation Network is down in many places (including North America, Europe, and Australia) and PlayStation network error codes keep appearing, like the 8001050F codes. Sony tweeted: “We’re aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we’re looking into it. Stay tuned for updates.”

That’s all SONY has we’ve heard from them so far. There’s no solution for this error is available yet, even if you are disconnecting your console from the Internet, that will not solve the problem. We will update you guys one any solution is out.
The error code comes with the following message: “Registration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will now quit.” After the message, the system reboots. The problems seem to mostly affect older, “fat” models of the PS3. Slim models are either not impacted or affected far less frequently.

Bought Heavy Rain on Friday, updated my PS3 (original premium fat model) played for 30 mins with no problems. Tried to get on earlier and could not connect to PSN, could not play the game offline. I just hope my system isnt bricked because of this crap...

I just played MW2 online for about 2 hours at a friend's house.

I hadn't tried to get on earlier though.

EDIT:......mine and my friend's PS3's are both the "slim" models.
