HARD WORK,
Pick up running, if you hate running (like me) try some high intisity lifting or circuit training. If you do not mind the sterotype of the crossfit, it will break you off and you will lose that beer gut. I did crossfit for a few months just to understand what it is about, but I stick with my mixed martial conditiong lifting, is the best name for it. Questions for you. 1. How much time a day / week can you exercise? 2. What shift and how long do you work? 3. What kind of foods are you eating? 4. What are your short and long term goals? 5. How bad do you really want to work for it? |

I have two possible jobs coming up, one as a boilermaker's helper and one as an LEO. If I get the job as the helper, I won't need the exercise. So we'll assume for the sake of generating good luck, that I'm becoming an LEO. 1) An hour a day, 2) one month cycles of days and then a month of nights, three twelve hour shifts and a four hour shift. 3) I'm going to be seeing a nutritionist about my diet, but presently it's home cooked meals prepared by my grandmother. I've been cutting back portions, carbs and starches at my doctor's direction. I'm on meds for cholesterol and triglycerides for now. 4) Short term goals are a smaller belly, long term goals are a bit more strength and a lot more stamina. 5) As an LEO it's pretty damn important, as a health issue it's important as well. I've made a few fits and starts but with the LEO position coming up, it's a much more obvious and immediate concern. Edit: Age - 39 |

You can't really target fat loss unfotunately....diet diet diet... Meat, veggies, fruits and nuts. Severly restrict sugar. Bread and pasta is useless, you get more than enough carbs from veggies and fruit. It's not fat! It's flaccid musculature... Sorry, my bad
