ok i just ordered the program.
I have some questions First my story, about 2 years ago i finished college and entered the working world i weighed 228lbs (i'm 5'9). I dieted and worked out and am now down to 165 but still have flab and NO definition so i figred p90x would work for me. I am still a member of my gym but will be "freezing" my membership while on the program. Also i have been out of work for just about 8 months so my stress level is very high but i have still maintained working out at the gym 3-5 times a week, it's like my hour of freedom where i think of nothing but working out.my questions are as follows: 1. as far a weights go, i would love the selectech system but as i said i have been unemployed for almost 8 months and don't want to spend that much coin. I would like to just get the free weights needed. How do i know which weights i should start out with? 2. what about resistance bands? 3. has anyone NOT followed the nutrition plan? what were your results Thats all the questions i have right now. i'm sure more will pop up once i get going. TIA Will |

I would like to just get the free weights needed. How do i know which weights i should start out with? The weights you need depend on your current strength level. I would watch the dvds then go to a sporting goods store and try various dumbbells until you find the right ones. The dvds tell you how to find the right weights. 2. what about resistance bands? They are OK. I don't care for them that much. I like knowing what weight I am using, not just what band or how big my loop is. It helps with motivation and goals. 3. has anyone NOT followed the nutrition plan? what were your results I don't follow the nutrition plan and am seeing good results. Although my goals are to gain weight not lose weight. Thats all the questions i have right now. i'm sure more will pop up once i get going. TIA Will How did I not see this thread earlier. You probably already got answers but in case you haven't, mine are in red. Nic4433 |
