I'm sneaking up on 30 and I've noticed that my stomach is getting quite big.  I'm 6'1" and 225, medium-heavy frame. Lightest I've been as an adult was 190 and that was as skinny as I ever want to be.

I'm quite active and spend most work days outdoors walking around in the woods with my gear but I also live on the road and eat a lot of junk food.

Are there some exersizes that don't take up much suitcase room I could use? How about healthier snacks for high activity people?

I've substituted cereal bars for candy and stopped drinking soda over a year ago.

my normal day would go something like

breakfast sandwich or burrito
walk 2 miles ~40 lbs gear
lunch on cereal bars
walk another mile or two same load
dinner out at a restaurant usually since the hotel doesn't have a stove.

ETA on the weekends I'm usually out with friends and I'll eat out then too.

1. get yourself a BodyBugg

2. Start going to a grocery store and getting pre-prepared meals.

3. Make one meal a day a salad that has lots of meat in it.  Panera Bread, Subway, and grocery stores are good for that.   Every resteraunt usually has a good salad.  Getting your butt outside of the vehicle on gas stops is good for your legs and back as well as your guts.

4. Jumping rope can do just as much for you as running several miles.  You can pack a jump rope in any suitcase.  A tension cord is very useful as well.  Get a room on the lowest floor and you will get no complaints.

5. Walking does more for weight loss than running.  Every hotel has a tread mill if you are on the road.

Edit: Cereal bars are as about worthless as a candy bar.   Buy bags of veggies and crack them out when you get hungry.  They will fill you up and can be sub-divided.   Don't drink beer.  Seltzer water is good.  Carry some Vanilla extract with you and add it to your water.

I don't drink beer either, 99% of what I drink in the winter time is water, and some gatorade with it in the summers. What's the vanilla extract for?

If you can carry cereal bars with you, you can carry precut veggies or apples with you.  Hard boiled eggs would be a fantastic source of portable protein, and if you have just one a day they are much healthier than you might think.  If you're set on having cereal bars then look for nutritional content...you want some fiber and protein in there, not just empty calories and sugar.  Some are better than others.  Maybe carry a small container of peanut butter for dipping...it's a fantastic supplement to fresh fruits and veggies and a good source also of protein and heart healthy fat.

Gatorade and those vitamin waters have as much sugar and calories as some pops.  Gatorade has a reduced calorie version that doesn't taste bad if you must have a sports drink, but water is always best.  I've been a big fan of green tea lately, reduced or calorie free, tastes good, and a good source of antioxidants.

Good luck.

You need more cardio. Run, job, bike, box, etc.

Sit ups and crunches will build muscle and add definition, but that's only if the muscles are buried under fat. Burn the fat, build the muscles, and it'll be flat and defined again.

That'll be $200.

You get a smaller waist from eating right more than exercise.  Exercise is fine, but as long as you eat the way you're eating, you're gonna be fat.

Lots of good food suggestions so far.  I'll pitch mine in: trail mix, jerky, and water.
