Well, I just took my biannual Navy PFT test yesterday

65 curl ups
47 push ups
11:11 for the 1.5 mi run

Personal Stats-
Height 5' 9.5"
Weight 140lb (I know I'm a little bitch)

I'm pretty comfortable with my curl up score. I could have done more, but I didn't want to get too tired for the rest of it.

Push ups I need to work on. I'm guessing the best way to do better is simply to do push ups on a regular basis. Is this correct?

Run time is my best yet. However, it could definitely be better. Right now I usually run 3 times a week on a track. Stretch, walk a lap, then jog for about 20-30 min keeping my heart rate around 150-160. Walk a lap, then do some sprints. Finish with a cool down. Is this a good method, or should changes be made?

Thanks for the help

For curl ups, do more curl ups.  Do sets of 25 in front of the TV.  Pin your feet under the sofa and watch the tube.  When a commercial comes on do 25 sit ups.

For push ups, your right do more push ups.  Believe it or not the pefect push up thing works.  Do 25 of those after the curl ups.

You can do both before the commercial ends.

For the run, run more than 1.5 miles.  Run 3 miles.

This will build up your endurance and make you feel like your sprinting when you take the PFT again.   Run hills.  This will help with your speed.

My score was 100 curls, 92 push ups and 1.5 mile run in 9:16.

You can do it

Good luck
