Ok, Im looking to shed some unwanted weight. At my peak I worked out 3 nights a week for about 45 minutes to an hour and never lost a pound.

Currently I'm 6'1" and about 240lbs, my arms and legs are decently toned but id kill to lose this extra 30 pounds or so hanging off the front.

Years ago I took Stacker 2's and lost about 40 pounds over several weeks but I had to stop taking them because all the caffeine made it almost impossible to sleep and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest, shortly after I gained all the weight right back.

I keep extremely active at work all day, every day and try to eat at least somewhat healthy besides drinking beer and such.

Is there a fat burning supplement available that is safe and will help me achieve my goal??

I've heard about Lipozene and Alli, are these good choices or should I go another route?

Thanks.

Keep active, cut your calories, do ab work (crunches, sit-ups, side bends with weight, leg lifts)  it ain't rocket science and you've got to maintain the lifestyle.  It's really so simple.  Burn more calories than taken in.  Period.  There is no secret pill.  Your "never lost a pound" workout regime sounds very lacking.
Sure take the Alli, are you fond of shitting yourself?

First, define what your workout program was.    Realize that you really aren't expending that many extra calories during any given workout session - i.e., a single candy bar or a 20oz sugar drink is going to completely nullify your efforts from a fat-loss perspective.    Fat loss really is mostly diet.

Second, while ECA does work (which is likely what your stacker 2 was at the time), it isn't going to make you lose an extra 40lbs over several weeks by itseld - it ain't that good.   It does also have an effect of suppressing your appetite, so I'm guessing that was the bulk of the loss.   Ditto on gaining it all back - simply stopping ECA isn't going to make you gain it all back, something else changed during those times, likely your diet.   Reference paragraph 1) where I said fat loss is mostly diet.   Which isn't to say that exercising is useless - cardio will help your general physical conditioning, and strength training will eventually build more muscle which will increase your overall metabolism.

So... if you don't react well to ECA, and while you may not like the answer, you'll simply need to replace it with willpower.   I really doubt that anything current on the market will have any significant impact - human beings have this tendency to think "if a little works good, then more will work better!", which results it taking too much of the things that do work, which then results in them hurting themselves, and then results in our nanny state banning it..   Which is why ECA can't be sold as a dietary aid today.

Yes, Please define "workout."

I see enough people at my gym to know that some of them think a workout is lazily pedaling while reading a book for 45 minutes, then hitting the showers.

Anyhow, like the previous men have said: less in than going out and weight WILL come off.  No cheating, because you can't cheat physics.  Think of your body like a car and your fat is a 1/2 full gas tank.

If you pour in 1 gallon a day, but drive enough to burn 1.5 gallons, the weight of that tank will drop.  OTOH, if you pour in that same gallon, but only drive enough to burn 3/4 gallon, then that tank will continue to fill up.  Unfortunately, our body has no limit on how much "gas" it can hold, it'll just keep growing to make it fit.

While working out is I think of tremendous importance, You cannot workout enough to make up for a truly crappy diet.  A pretty intense one hour workout might burn 1000-ish calories.  I could double that in one evening snack or fast-food meal.

Whatever you burn everyday, probably from 2500-3000 calories a day, you need to eat less than that.  If you cut back 500 calories a day from that amount, you will lose about 1lb a week.  (considering that 1lb fat contains 3600 calories)

Magic Pill, I wish.  The solution is to keep track of everything that goes in your mouth.  Check out Dietpower.  In spite of hundreds I've spent on magic pills, nothing has help me lose more weight than this tool.
