Background

After I was discharged from physical therapy, I made up a lifting regimen and joined the same gym as my wife.  I hit the gym every other day.

I do 30 minutes on the stationary bike and hit five machines per my physical therapist.

Somehow, someway, I pulled a muscle in my back/neck.  The pain starts in my lower neck area and encompasses most of the area of my left shoulder.  I'm not sure how I got it.  I woke up with it one morning.

I'm not sure what to do here.  I'm going to hit the bike like normal and do what ever of my five machines don't cause any immediate pain.

Is that the right way to work around an injury and still excercise?

Thanks

I don't know yet.  Yesterday was an off day.  Today is gym day.  I won't really know until, after I get to the machines.
