Hello All I am a bit over weight, I work full time and go to school. I am married too so my time is limited. I have taken this summer off from school to get back in shape and do some activities that I enjoy. Here is my stats. 5'11, 278lbs, body fat in the mid to high 20% mark. I normally even with school train at my MMA/Combatives club one night a week. Befor school I lifted 5 nights a week and went to combatives or Judo once or twice a week, it's been a year since I was doing that. I enjoy that pace and I am gonna get back into it. M/W/F, Rippletoe Program. The variant with the rows not the cleans, I don't have any one to coach me on the cleans. I am gonna wait a couple of weeks before I add the pull ups/dips/abs. T/Th Tabata intervals on a rowing machine and medicene ball squats/catch. 2 mins of each. I would like to run sprints in the morning, I need to, but I am not a morning person. My biggest hurdle is getting my ass up. I also go to the MMA gym monday after lifting, I drink a PWO shake before. I go on Sunday and plan on going to open mat every other saturday. I am lifting and sprinting more fore the MMA/Combatives than anything. As for diet. I am trying to clean it up but not cutting back calorically. I figure if I keep up the pace and clean up my diet my body will find a happy medium. Any input? I am on week one being back at this pace, I will update on Sunday. |
